Introduce yourself.... in the Technical Manual
« on: January 09, 2009, 13:23:43 »
Not a lot of people know this, but if you are a full member you can create a page in our Wiki where you can introduce yourself, upload a picture of you and/or your car collection, and put as much or as little information as you like.

I've started this with myself, but here's how it works. If you go to the page listing Recent Changes on the Wiki (http://www.sl113.org/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=Site.AllRecentChanges) you'll get a list with pages that have been modified recently (with a link, so you can quickly visit them), with a name of who changed it. Most of these names are underlined with a dotted line and a question mark behind them. That means that this member is a known contributor of the Technical Manual, but has not created a page yet.

If you link to my name (vanesp) you'll see my Profile: http://www.sl113.org/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=Profiles.Vanesp

So, what do you need to do to create your profile ?
  • First, contribute to the technical manual, so that we know you... that can be as easy as correcting a spelling mistake! For help on what and how, look here: http://www.sl113.org/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=Main.News
  • Secondly, go to the Recent Changes page, and spot your user name right at the top...
  • Click on your dotted underlined user name and edit at your hearts content... upload a picture, write your life history etc...

If you are a contributor to the Technical Manual it is worth doing so... you can lend authority to your edits if people know who you are! (Except for when you are me, of course. I know hardly anything about our cars, but can steal, collect and collate information with the best of them... see here for how you can help: http://www.sl113.org/index.php/FAQ/items/how-can-i-help.html)
