The number I looked up in the parts book is 110 291 01 82 and it indicates that it is the same pad for the clutch and brake pedal.
I would guess that all the usual suspects would have this part, Millers, KK etc. your local MB dealer might even be a good source

It's still available at the dealer.  Part number is 107-291-01-82.  It costs about $7.

I have been told that the new pedal pads have a different pattern molded in. You may want to save your old one (for  originality purposes) while the new one is in use

I think it's $4 from the dealer and that that the part number is 107 291 01 82.    I listed a like-new one on ebay (ends tomorrow) for $4.99 but that was only to snub KCI who listed NOS for $25 + 15 shipping or some such nonscence...

I really don't understand all this obsession with KCI in Germany. It's as though every time he pops up you all have to shout '' Look, it's a wolf! '' and then run off to hide all your sheep or chickens ( or whatever you value ).

I think we get it by now.........

I hide my cats.    I think the thing is that when people sell something for an extremely inflated price just because other people are suckers, some of us don't like it.   That's all.

Cats? Now there's an off topic subject I actually know something about. I've been raising cats for the last 40 years. I always had a cat of some kind but I got my first Siamese cat back in 1969. All of them have been seal points but I started branching out into blue, lilac, lynx and chocolate about 15 years ago.
Nothing more beautiful than oriental short hairs.

I also have a dog, Benson. Some of you may remember Sugar the white dog from the car show a few years back. She passed on at the old age of about 16 two years ago.
Benson is an Australian cattle dog. Too smart for his own good.

Part No. 110 291 01 82 is correct, but n.l.a. on the
2009 Daimler AG price list.

The (perfect) aftermarket reproduction is available in
Germany, the price is 2,60 € ( about 3,31 US $ ).

I agree lots of small bits and pieces are offered on
ebay as super rare "New Old Stock", hard to
find, last chance ::), and other funny describtions.

I have the same problem with old 70`s / 80`s US
brand electric bass guitars. US residents looking for
old instruments at the next shop or private persons
pay a few hundred bucks. I don`t have the chance
to do so, when I buy from online dealers, they`re
asking more than double the price or even more,
because it "vintare / rare / hard to find" etc  :'(

Have a nice day,

TOM

Part is now superceded by 107 291 0182 as mentioned earlier.

It`s correct, the 107 pad can be used as well. I agree no one will look at the pedals and care for the difference.

The brake pad is easy to find and replace. It seems the gas pedal pad that is more complicated to replace.

UG!!!  The gas pedal is a pain in the butt.  We _finally_ broke down and bought the rubber pad from SLS and basically removed the old pad from the metal and glue the new pad on top.  It looks great and works great and no one would know the difference.  It is a bit of a pain though in terms of work.  But it's not expensive.  I don't remember the price, maybe something like € 28, but it's onl worth it if you are ordering parts anyway.   I thnk that the classic center now has new gas pedals, and I think they are something like $200 but I could be wrong on both accounts.

If everyone is so pissed about vendors pricing stuff well beyond it's real market value then why aren't you going after MB or the Classic Center? They're a vendor too.
When they first started making the 190SL brake booster again is was something like 6 thousand dollars! Some sensible people had a little chat with them and now it's about 1/2 that price which is still nuts. I guess if you had an otherwise 100 point car and that was all that was stopping you from perfection then you might consider it.

I think my point is, you have to be fair across the board. Why give MB a free pass and then go after others with shallow pockets and similar motives? Either MB is just as capable of ripping you off or they're the greatest thing since the push up bra. You decide.....

The US price for 130 200 02 15 is $330 and it does show as being a thermostat, but I think there has been a mistake.  If I look up the thermostat for a 280 SL I also get the part number 110 200 05 15.   The US price for that is $19.   You might ask your local dealer about that part number, or you might phone the classic center (forget that, they never answer the phone) and ask what the difference is between the two.

# 110 200 05 15 opens at 87 Degrees Celsius - MB price =13,46 € / After Market price = 9,75 €

Back to topic:

Fintails (110 built from 59`) don`t have the same brake pedal rubber as 107`s (107 bulit up to 89`).
They are similar and can be used, but are not the same.

Topic shmopic... we're the pagoda SL group and we never let the topic get in the way of discussions about fleabay price gougers, classic center price fixing, bass guitars, thermostats, 190sl brake boosters, gas pedals, cats, dogs, etc, etc. Where would be the fun otherwise??  ;) ;D

Yes, I knew about the 87 degrees, and I also didn't know about the 130 part.  I would be interested (if you find out) to know what is up with these two different parts.  If I were you I would buy the inexpensive one.

I would take a second look at the classic center as recently they have been known to beat even some of the most competitive vendors for some parts.

I almost always find the Classic Center to be the best deal except for a few things that are a better deal from SLS.   For new and available items, I find EBay to be the worst deal...
