Passenger window alignment survey
« on: April 06, 2009, 15:40:19 »
I have had trouble aligning the top front corner of my passenger window with both the hard and soft tops.  I have talked with another memeber who has experienced the same problem.  Both of us have spent hours trying to get it right.  This common alignment problem may indicate another one of those quirks about our cars.    I'm satisfied with the right and left window edge seals.  I'm satisfied with the top rear window seal.  As you move forward along the top edge a sealing gap comes into play.  At the very front top corner of the window I have a 3/16 inch gap.

Please have a look at the top front corner and let me know if you have a tight seal in this area as well as the reamained of the window.

Thanks,

I have always first fit the window to fit the hard top and then adusted the soft top frame to fit the window.

thanks for responding Al.  I followed your instructions for aligning the doors and they were very helpful.  I aligned the windows first with the hard top.  No matter what I do i still have a gap above the passenger window near the front.  Same goes for the soft top.  Do you have this issue with your car?
