For those of you who don't, can't, or won't get the BBC you can try the BBC website (www.bbc.co.uk) or if you want to jump straight to the program site then try www.topgear.com
Hope this helps

If we can get express written permission of the show, I don't know why we can't host it right here!  Perhaps our home page needs another link next to Forums, Technical Articles, Databases, Members, etc.  It could be called Downloads or something like that.  We could have files of public information (or some criteria) regarding Pagodas for people to download.

I sent an email to Michelle Julier - the starter of the "Famous Pagoda Owners? topic requesting permission to do this - giving credit etc as necessary

Got to be worth a try :D

Malc, thanks for the tip on the website: there goes [went] my boxing day.

I spent some time drifting through the features list, and in particular the article headed '100 top cars of all time'. Number 1 went to the Aston Martin DB5. Coming in at number 5 was the 'Mercedes SL'  - which one, they did not say!

Belated Merry Christmas to you all, and happy new year.

Cheers,

kns.

That was from a September magazine supplement entitled the "100 coolest cars of all time" or something to that effect

And the 280SL getting an honourable 5th.... yep, the 113.

I posted some more info here (or with Dorian) on it - including the "full" text on the 5th car and how they came up with the ranking.

Thanks Tosh - appreciate the effort. I was coming over all warm and fuzzy until I read that the SL was edged out of second/third place by the Land Rover Defender and 'Smart' car! Clarkson may be right about Scott-Thomas though......

Cheers,
