Heater core repair vs. replacement.
« on: May 09, 2009, 01:32:50 »
I just spent 4 hours removing the old heater core. ( it was leaking )

I did a search on this but did not find any opinions as to which is better.  This is a daily driver not a show car so function is most important.  :-\

And where might I find the best source for either rebuilt(re-cored) or replacement in the SF area?

Thanks,
Dan

Any radiator shop should be able to recore it for reasonable cost. You have my empathy regarding R&R of that part... after doing it once I have no intention of ever doing another. :-X
