Anybody have their front grill out?
« on: August 27, 2009, 17:57:27 »
I would love to get the exact dimension between the top and bottom sheet metal inside the front grill opening. There is a little indentation both at the top and the bottom, in the center of the opening that would be a good point to measure vertically.

Thanks, Tom

Thank you VERY much. I love this forum :-)
Does anybody want to second the number just to see what the tolerances might have been?...

On a 230SL  '65 I think.  8 7/8 inch between the 1/2" indents.  Differences adjusted on the grill with a 'persuader'?  Hand crafting
