I had 2 granite small plates made here in Vietnam. 1 with NL and 1 with the year 1971.
This will be installed at the back. Do not know where yet. Paid 5 euro. I went over to the Netherlands
last week, and had a test drive after the automatic overhaul and the repair of the seats.
Just awesome. First test with 40 miles and slowly faster. After 3 hrs at 75/80. It felt very good.
More than good after the automatic overhaul. 1 picture when I was at my daughters place.
When I came back in HCM, I had a look at green leather here at Rosanna.
Soft and cheap. So I will go back to them and get me 4 square mtr. Just for small repairs on the
interior. The green leather color fits perfect, as my sunshade's are white and I do not like this.
This I will change to green. Also the inside of the hardtop I want to change to green leather.
It is black now and does not look nice.
Attached the pictures from the plates.

The last FUN thing I bought for the car was a Becker Europa TR with the small face to replace the blaupunkt currently installed.  It took nearly a year to find this radio at a price that I would pay - came from ebay in germany.  In the process I acquired about 8 other Beckers, some small face and some big face before the radio I really wanted came along.

The last dull thing I bought was some stupid lever that moves when you push the handle for the top cover release - it was worn and I had that part of the car apart anyway...

Oh, and I got new rubber mounts for the fuel pump.  Whoopee!!!

Hi all
The last thing I bought for my Pagoda was the hard top soft cover and the box replacement that goes between the seats. I am still thinking about the hard top holder and possibly alloy rims, but that would be for next year... :)

Just ordered some sunvisors from Kay to replace my beaten up looking originals. Can't wait as I think they'll give the car a lift

A second hand fan switch for our 230SL from a wrecker - complete with light and knob  - it looks and feels to operate perfectly - for $10  (off a finnie). I`m heading back there on Saturday with a bigger tool box!

Cheers

A new fire wall pad and a soft top frame from a parts car.  Installed a GAHH soft top.  The weather strip channel was missing on the frame so I had to buy it.  The drivers side rear piece is no longer available and would have to be made in Germany.  I made several calls and found a NOS one from BUDs in Ga.  This was his last one.  I am lucky to have a few contacts to find the rare parts.

Indeed

Get the whole wiper mech if you can. RHD mechs are impossible to find. By mech i mean everything between the motor and the spindles

All in preparations for its long winters nap >:(
