Wiring Diagram for Electric Antenna

Anyone has one?  I asked the question before but to no avail and therefore trying again.  Do let me know if it's already in the Technical Manual.  I have not used it before even though I'd like to and I should!

Unfortunately I also don't have one (that's why the others haven't answered either I guess ... :-\)

There is no wiring diagram from Daimler.com for the electric antenna (aerial) of our W113 bodies
and also: not all of the electic antennas do work absolutely identical. There are fully automatic electrical antennas and half-automatic antennas around.
I assume now you are referring to an automatic antenna like the Hirschmann Auta 6000 or comparable. 8)

The ususal ones like the Hirschmanns, that come out when you turn on the radio, should have three terminals:
- one for permanent positive current (usually terminal 30 within the main wiring diagram, coming from fuse no. 1 or with a separate fuse) which is the main power supply for the motor
- one "Steuerstrom"/control current coming from the Beckerradio
and
- one ground (terminal 31)

The "Steuerstrom (control current ... hope that is the correct translation) only gives an output when the radio is switched on but does not drive the antenna motor directly! This terminal is on the backside of the radio ... I "believe" it is marked with "+" but I am not sure right now from my memories. When turning off there is no current anymore on this lead.
In this case the electro-mechanical switch within the antenna body recognizes the missing current in that a contact releases (like a relay) and the constant current (Klemme/terminal 30) provides current so that the motor can pull in the telescopic part again.

This is how the ordinary Hirschmann or Bosch antenna works.
There might be other solutions (with a separate switch or comparable).
