Threshhold chrome pieces
« on: February 09, 2010, 13:10:19 »
Was just perusing the german equivalent of our forum and was reading that they are really working on getting a high quality reproduction set of the door treshhold chrome pieces done as a set at supposedly half the cost of the current set.
Memmo there thinks they will be ready to have them done by the end of March. I am sure there are tons of these that are not getting replaced on our US cars due to the high cost of one of these sets, mine included (will probably have to wait for my birthday or Christmas again otherwise  ;) )

If anyone is interested, let me know and I can help communicate, or write to them directly if you are able to

Bernd

Bernd,

Which pieces are you referring to exactly (part #'s)?  Are these the two thin chrome strips inside and outside of the step into the car?  If so I would be interested as mine are pretty banged up.
Thanks
Marcus

The website link above is correct. I don't believe you have to sign up to read the threads, but you may well have to do that to reply to the postings. If anyone is interested in getting on the list I can help with that if they can't do that or if the german language is a barrier

The pieces they are getting reproduced have the following MB numbers:

113 686 01 36 left trim at rocker panel
113 686 02 36 right trim
113 686 03 36 left cable covering trim
113 686 04 36 right cable covering
