Hey, U.S.-based Pagoda Top Nuts ...

Where can I find the correct BULB for the courtesy lamp tucked under the dash ... ?  Is it something I can buy locally ... ? ... or ... ?  Thanks!  Pete N.

There's a light in the car?
I would be interested in knowing where this courtesy light "under the dash" you speak of is located?   The only interior light I am aware of in my 1970 280SL in the map light in the glove box door.

If there is another light that illuminated the interior of the vehicle, I would appreciate some detailed information describing its location.

thanks
Jim

Badali:

Wow, it was right there under my "nose" just as you pointed out.  I moved the switch out of the OFF position and into the position that activates the light when the door is open.  It actually works.

I love this site!

Thanks

Jim Villers presented several options for LED replacement lights at both of the last PUBs.  I believe he had one for the courtesy light that produces a much brighter light at the same power.  However, I can't find the handout.  Perhaps someone else has it handy.  Other wise, you could pull the number off of the old bulb and see if there is a cross reference on the Daniel Stern lighting web site.

Does anyone have a list of LED bulbs for replacement for a 1969 280SL. I don't know which ones will fit my tailights or parking lights. Is there a replacement LED for the original Osram bulbs for the European headlights?

Although this page does not give LED replacements, it may help in your search for them:
