Shipping car..UK to USA
« on: June 11, 2010, 21:02:06 »
As I now live in the USA and am spending less time in the UK, I'm going to bring my car over. It's a Euro 1970 280. Do you know if I have to make it a US car with different lights and stuff and UK owners, can I keep my UK plates on hold in case I ever want them back on it ?

Your thoughts

thanks

HI Paul,

Not sure how to go about registering your car in NY and how long it will take to clear customs.  You may want to look into this link as a start http://www.nydmv.state.ny.us/register.htm#outofstate.

Since you are in Manhattan, few local Pagoda owners are getting together for an informal event:

6/19 - Saturday
Time: 8AM-10AM
Location: Bedford Post in Bedford, NY

Hope you will be able to join us.  It will be a good opportunity to meet the local members and their cars.

Best Regards,

Dean
