Well, today Grass Valley, CA held its inaugural Gold Country Foreign Car Show. Our area is pretty well known in Northern California for its American classic car gatherings but this was the first for "ferners". Anyway, I was just gonna spectate -- started parking out side the gates -- when a guy talked me into going in. It was not too bad. Most cars were just driver condition -- but a couple pretty clean. Some better than others. My car got some attention (I'd say.).. Judging was just People's Choice. Classes were by country -- lots of British MGs, Minis, and a couple of Triumphs. Italia included Ferraris and a couple Alfas. 2 French cars! both owned by same guy. In the German section: 1 Pagoda, a 55 Gullwing, a 34 500K, a 220SE, and a mid70's 107. A bunch of 911 Porsches and a decent 356. Well, the 356 took the class... only first place trophies so I have no idea how close I was in second
. A pretty sharp Austin-Healy took best of show.
Sorry only camera I had was my phone...
