Engineering Tags and Under the Hood Labels
« on: August 06, 2010, 22:16:56 »
I have not been on the forum for quite a while. I now most of you have been requesting information
on the Engineering Labels and price list. believe me .It is almost done. here is the progress I have been
working diligently on . My wife Sharon and I have finally completed a paper copy of the labels and Reference
Mercedes-Benz numbers for our group. I have added a few new labels and redone some that were out of stock.
I know have the Hanging Tire instruction card duplicated from an original must better quality and a lower price it
is provided with the correct size and length wire and instructions to made it an easy application Another few new items are the Air conditioner labels and their placement. a rare Item because some owners Did not get them or they were not put on at the dealership, another item is the power steering instruction label for early 230SL , 250SL and early 280SL with
metal top dip stick for the automatic transmission.
My next step is waiting for progress on the 280SL soft top instruction labels. These are being duplicated from two ordinals
and will not be candy coated and fake looking. As soon as I am able to receive a price on these and a label in my hands
the next step is going to the printer and putting all this information on a CD for you to down load or if you do not have a computer I will be happy to send a hard copy. My Target date is late October or sooner this year.
My thanks to every one for their support and there intrest in this project I started in 1998. I am blessed to have meet so many kind people at Joe and Mary Alexanders Pagoda meet .
My Sincere Thanks to all of you.

Bob,
Great to hear that your project is almost finished.  I hope that the labels you photographed from my Euro spec 280SL at Blacklick are among those you will have available.  Please let me know when the finished products are available.

bob :
speaking of the labels I photographed at last years blacklick event. my assistant accidentally showing me how to use my new Video camera erased that information. I usually only do labels for the USA cars. but I have a contact in Germany that has European labels for these cars.

If you send me pictures of what you need I may have it in stock. Send to krwaxbz@yahoo.com

Nice to hear from you again.

Hi Bob,
The VIN is 18803, was built 6-70 and first sold 10-70.  I have spoken to all of its owners and it seems that after the first 2.5 years of use and 6000 miles, it was used sparingly and stored correctly.
I will send you some pics when it is completed in about 4 weeks.  Please send me a list of stickers and tags available.
Regards,
Larry
