back up lights

My BUL (that's a funny abbreviation....) work only when I shift from P to R and the lever is closer to the P. Ergo I guess I have to adjust the linkage on the transmission.

I will be at my old shop where I can use the hoist for an oil change next week, that would be a good time to do that adjustment......if that is all there is....?!

Searching the technical manual on this site did not get me anywhere. Are there any pictures and instructions for this on this site ?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated..

Your first check should be the adjustment of the small brown box (about the size of a deck of playing cards) mounted on the left side of the firewall. There is a cable that comes from the tranny to the little lever on the box. This is also the neutral lock out switch. There should be information on the site, try the search function, back up switch, neutral lock out, or similar, and you should find more detailed information.
