Greetings!

I wanted to ask if anyone has used Gus with Beverly Hill Motors in Houston for mechanical work on their pagoda?  I have a 69' 280sl that needs a new starter which I have determined after much work is too difficult to get out without a lift.  Any recommendations for other 113 mechanics in Houston would be greatly appreciated.

I also need to replace the seal in my windshield if anyone has had success locally, I would appreciate any recommendations.

Cheers,

Benjamin

I would not hesitate to use Gus.  He knows our cars very well and I have seen some of the nicest Pagodas in Houston at his shop.

Other options would be:

Helmut Holder (713) 683-1526 (located near 610 / 290 in Spring Branch)  You may not find a more knowlegable mechanic for older Mercedes in the country.  Helmut has practically taken my car apart and put it back together.   I know he just replaced a windshield seal in another Pagoda.  He advised that you need to be careful to get a seal that fits properly.

Sunmor Services (281) 354-2200 near Kingwood.  (You have to check out Gunter's vintage racing 230SL  :o :o)  See picture attached.

If you are just looking to replace the starter, and you are located in NW Houston, Larry at G.R. Auto care in Spring (281) 580-8672 on Stubner Airline near Hooks Airport can take good care of you.

Hope this helps.  If you want more info send me a PM with a phone number and I will give you a call.

Norm,

Great, thanks so much!  I am in central Houston so will use Gus, I appreciate the feedback.  I will let you know how it goes.  If all is well, will likely take it to coffee and cars next month.  You ever go?

Cheers,

Benjamin

I was at the Coffe and Cars last Saturday. I saw a white pagoda, not sure who was driving it.

There were two white ones there.  I was one of them.

It was probably me. I was there, but didn't stay long. I haven't ever seen other Pagodas there.... we should coordinate!

Both Stan and Steve were there with their white Pagodas. The month before I was there with my Blue and another owner with a dark green (we parked together)
For next month I will watch the weather and post a notice in the events section. Keep in mind that if we want to park together we will need to meet at 7AM or earlier. Otherwise we will have trouble finding multiple spots next to each other.

I was there in early September and saw the two together.  I got there at 8:00 and had to park way around the side.  I plan on going in November weather permitting.
