differences in carpet vendors
« on: February 04, 2011, 03:18:15 »
german top, gaah, etc. Are there any differnces among the companies as long as they use german loop or german square weave. There are big price differences in the places selling it, but they adverise the same material. They even show the same color/material swatches. Input would be appreciated

Honestly...,

I don't think so.
Softtop material (Haartz-Sonnenland) and carpet (at least the square weave) are always the same.
This is very well different with the leather instead.

Just my 2 cents

Sorry Achim that is not correct.
There can be substantial differences depending on how the carpets were weaved (loops/inch) , especially for the 230SL square weave carpet.

It always pays to look at samples and then decide whether one wants a coarse or a finer carpet.
