That was great!  What better way to kick off a campaign for all MB cars, than one with their most beautiful... :)

Great commercial. Good reason to watch the Super Bowl now (Even though the 49ers are not playing)

WOW !!!!
I'm almost speechless.
Interesting that they used what looks like a US 280 version.
Did you notice the side lights? And they don't work? Headlights on, and the side markers are not on. They probably worked and then got "Photoshoped" out.
Also US front lights and bumper guards just like mine and many of yours.
Interesting that Mercedes choose that model for the commercial, and it plays such a significant role in the commercial.

They are just reflectors on my early '69 280SL. Don't believe they had bulbs until late '69. Great Video though.

Ah, I did not know that. Thank you.
I had thought the law from 1968 on in the US the requirement was for side marker lights with bulbs (four of them, not like the Italian requirement). My '68 Camaro has lights (bulbs). I would have thought GM would have put reflectors there if they could get away with it. But maybe the law was different for imports?  ???

There were also a few comments from people that didn't recognize the Pagoda! I didn't think they were that rare.

Great Ad, and Oh, what a STAR!  Since I am a Datsun guy also, it does remind me of the old Datsun/Nissan "Dream Garage" Ad campaign from some years back.  I have the "Dream Garage" Poster framed in my office.

I just saw the commercial during the Super Bowl.  Too bad that the full/extend version was not shown; nevertheless, it was great to see the Pagoda.

I too saw the awsome ad during the last minutes of the 4th qtr. of the Super Bowl.  Made all the other Super Bowl car ads look like trash.  I think the W113 was showned more in the ad.  As I sat in Hooters watching the game, when the ad came on, all the people at tables around me starting saying WOW, some great looking classic MBs.  Nice to know you own one.
