Super Bowl Mercedes commercial
« on: February 07, 2011, 04:53:23 »
Hello All,

Now that the game is history it will fade away into the record books - - -  but I predict the Pagoda Brotherhood will NEVER forget the Mercedes commercial near the end of the game. For those who did not see it, it started with a pristine driverless 280SL exiting a barn and driving off down a dark country road to rendezvous with every other classic Mercedes you can think of.  There were glimpses of Pagoda dashboards, Gullwing dashboards, an AMG SLS, and various road shots of all the cars.
They converged at one of the Classic Centers for a group shot.  It was so great I watched it several times.

Hope it shows up on YouTube!

Regards, Larry in CA

How cool was that!!

To see that Pagoda as an opening act.....!

At the end P Diddy was looking for his "brand new" silver Mercedes...he could have grabbed any of those beautiful Classics right next to him... much better choice!!

That pagoda was supplied as were other vintage models by the classic center.  It is now owned by a friend who lives in Nashville.  I will ask him to join sl113.org.  I will see if he'll come to Blacklick this year.

If you are a member of MBCA , you can read the Michael Kunz article from the Classic Center in the Star magazine as to how the commercial was made.
Very cool and lots of work to create a short commercial
