Wiper problem

Help... Car is a 1967 250sl
I just finished replacing the washer pump which now works fine. However when I operated the wipers -nothing happened
I checked the other items I had disturbed when changing the washer pump- the wiper relay and two ground connections under the relay retaining nut. All seem ok.
Wipers last used about 2 months ago- and were working fine then.
I could hear a loud click from the relay when operating the wiper on/off stalk. I opened the relay and cleaned the contacts gently the moving parts seem ok. I reassembled the relay and installed. No luck.
At this point I am soaking the wiper spindles (having removed the arms/blades) overnight fearing the spindles have seized.
I would like to test the motor without disconnecting the lever under the dash- could someone advise which terminal(s) on the motor plug I should apply 12v to and do I need to have a terminal linked to ground?
Any help appreciated
PS I also have a post on the Body trim forum regarding something loose under the dash- maybe I have something now jamming the wiper linkage?
I'm doing all I can before biting the bullet and taking the dash down

Hello,

Always check the fuse first to make sure it has not lost contact. Sometimes the fuse is good but it gets corroded on the ends and does not make contact. You can check the connection easily with a 12 volt test light. You should have power on both upper and lower brass fuse holder if the circuit is live and the fuse is making contact.

 View the linkage inside the car or put your hand on the motor under the hood (bonnet).  When the wipers are switched on you should be able to see or feel the motor struggle to overcome the resistance of the seized wiper shafts if this is the case.

The first thing I did was to check the fuse (No 2) It' also protects the horn and washer both of which are working.
Tried the feeling the motor when swiched on - absolutely nothing. I think I have no power getting to the motor. Is it possible to chek for life at the motor plug? if so which terminal(s) do I look at to test on the loom plugt?

#4 is for self parking, #1 and ground should run the motor. #3 is for the second speed.

Thanks for the pic & tip. The motor ran fine. The problem was poor contact in the plug. Once cleaned up all was well.
Another panic solved by help from this great body of enthusiasts. Now to find that mystery noise behind the dash....................

May be worth cleaning up the plugs/pins on the 3 relays as well.
