Just plain beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I have been fond of your car ever since it was advertised in Southern California, a couple owners ago.

And I am guessing you used tilt shift maker? sweet.

I love the color. I've seen it on sedans but not a 230 SL. Looks great.

The quality of the photographs is excellent too, imaginative positions, good use of depth of field, great lighting. Did you take them, or did you have a professional do it? Or perhaps you are a professional

Peter, Cameras and I seem to have a mutual distrust. Thank heaven for digital so I don't waste a lot of money on film development for pictures that just don't seem to come out right.

Actually I met a young guy at a local car show and was impressed with his work. This is the second time I have had him do some photography work. I will make sure to forward your comments. I think he has a good future as a professional.

Great looking car and photos. I am going to print the first and put it on the wall as as incentive where I want to get the bits together to look like at the end of the process.

The tires are Michelin XH4 195/70/R14 which was a popular replacement.

I also like the way the tires look on the car but one of these days I will probably switch them for the OEM size 185 HR 14 just to keep it original. But then, I'm in no hurry.

There is a lot of excellent information on optional size tires in the technical section, including speedometer corrections.
