PUB Shirts 2011
« on: June 03, 2011, 12:40:12 »
I have been asked by several people privately already about 2011 PUB shirts.  Let's cut to the chase.

My first goal is to get Pagoda Style to the printers.  I'm close, at the very end...and can't work on the shirt until that is done.

If I can pull it off time wise,

1)  I will defer to previous preferences, and go with a collared polo shirt.  Will only do GIldan high quality shirts.  Probably choice of 2 or 3 colors.
2)  Left Chest embroidery.

I have a new vendor who has done several projects for me already--they have inhouse digitization capability (rare for an embroiderer) and give me fantastic pricing.  It is a family business with a family friend we met some years ago and is local in Michigan.

Any suggestions for designs etc. will certainly be welcome.  Car?  The club logo?  Lettering?

Cost depends on # of stitches and colors in the pattern.  Guessing to keep it at the $25 or $30 price as last time.

Moderators can move this post to where it belongs.

Right you are! Pagoda Style will be much more important! Remember the extra print run for the group...

Hello Michael,

Thanks for taking care of this again. I hesitated to ask you,  I know you are busy with the up-comming car show.

Dana, I believe there is already a club logo shirt available anytime.  http://www.cafepress.com/sl113

Ray Hays has taken on the task and we have discussed it at length via email.  See his posting under "EVENTS".  Ray is a creative guy, and thorough, and I'm sure it will be a keeper.  I get the third shirt (he and his wife claim the first two!)

Although I always work July(currently in Santorini) and miss the PUB even though it is close to my home I was thinking about the logo and thought the Mercedes star with simple lettering around the outside "Pagoda University Blacklick" with 2011 centered on the bottom might be good. Simple, elegant and all one color and in two years you just change the date.

Silver on dark blue or blue on white come to mind.

I prefer a different logo for each event.  The PUB is only every 2 years and each one deserves its own limited edition mark.  This year's design is simple, elegant, and instantly recognizable for what it is by anyone.  It is  sophisticated and understated,i ntended to be befitting of an upscale car.
