Power steering conversion?

Hi
I have a 1970 280sl right hand drive U K car.
Has any body fitted power steering to a Manual steering car.
Am I mad to do this.Any feed back would be great.

Basil,
I have converted four RH drive 280sl's to power steering ,best way is to have a 108 type 280se sedan as a donor everything will bolt on all drillings and threads are already in the manual steer engine,the most awkward part is getting the steering column inner shaft out and having it shortened forty odd mm.apart from that everything is straight forward,you wont be dissapointed with the outcome.

And don't forget to adjust your caster to the new PAS specs.....
