Yes, there are, a few at least.
No. 1, 4, 17, 24, 33, (35), 40 and 44 exist to my very humble knowledge, most of them (but not all) in Deutschland.

The first car delivered to the United States was no. 3.

Someone with better searching skills through the forum database might have to research it, but a few years ago we had someone come here claiming to have a very very early 230 SL.  It was here in Michigan, in the town of Manchester.  As a lark, I took a drive out to see it.  There were some strange stories about the car.  It was under someones care, but not the owner; it was in a barn, really; it had some very strange things on it I never saw before, and some of the VIN stuff was peculiar.  Very rough, not used, and not for sale.  There was something very strange about the whole situation...

I shot some photos but for the life of me can't remember when!!

Hi Michael,

Don't know where that car "was" but I have heard stories about that one too.
Even have a few low res poor quality engine department pics of that car which most likely came from someone here.

I have to dig deep as well to recover these.
Can't find it soon.
