Chassis dimensions/datum measurements
« on: July 20, 2011, 04:10:07 »

Does anyone know where I can find these measurements. My car is heading to the panel beater next week to repair a major hit on the right front and the first thing will be a chassis trueness check.

Cheers

George

Thanks Alfred,

As I said in my reply email - received and all perfect.

It does however reinforce what a great asset we have in this site - I asked a general question and within half an hour I had the exact information I needed. Thanks in particular to Alfred but applause also for the site. Great!

We are working on it!
But if you are in a real hurry you can look it up on page 500 in the MB "Technical Data Passenger Cars - Issue 1969" booklet.  :)

600kB?  That's less than 1 meg.  Am I missing something?

I don't know, since I have no clue what a "meg" is.
What is it?  190SL slang?  ???  ;)

You asked if George's mail system could handle 600 KB.  KB is kilobytes, I presume since you were referring to a PDF, Portable Document Format.  I wondered what the issue was since 600 KB is less than 1 meg, short for megabyte or 1000 KB.  1 meg is a relatively small file, even small enough to post here as a picture.  Most email systems will easily handle a 10 meg file or 10000 KB.  So, that was my question, thought maybe I misunderstood something.  No 190 SL slang, not even a car related discussion, much less 190 SL related.  I hope this clears up what I was asking.
