Pagodas at Portland Art Museum / Allure of the Automobile

Yes, thank you Allen for posting the nice photos.  Wish I could have made it over from Boise to Portland to have seen those beauties as well as the event at the museum.

My red '71 280SL does make it to Portland once in awhile.  Do you know of any service shops there that have a solid understanding of our W113s?  Any input on that would be appreciated.  PM me if you'd like.

There are two good independent shops that have experience with W113s and other Mercedes from the 50's 60's and 70's. 

MBI Motors:  503-231-0444.  A Portland institution, been in business for over 40 years. 
Burback Motors:  503-236-1737.  Owned by Mike Burback who spent time at MBI.  I take my car there.

Another independant in Portland is Nasko, phone is 503-771-1472.  He's around 52nd & Foster.  He knows these cars well, used to own mine.  I loved the pic of the red Pagoda with the "new" old syle blue Oregon Pacific Wonderland plate.  Noticed a few other MB's with them.  When they first came out I zoomed to the DMV to get mine, walked out with a set for each of my cars, now I know all their plate numbers since they are consecutive.....
