Becker Radio Installation - UK
« on: September 01, 2011, 09:30:51 »
Advice required.

When i acquired my car it had a Becker TG Europa unit installed in the dash but for cosmetics only (see attached). The main unit is in situe but not wired up. I subsequently purchased an external Amplifier off eBay which I believe the unit requires.

Does anyone know any UK specialists regarding installation and am I being dense but what about Speakers ? Is this another seperate unit.

Cheers

Darren

I don't have the same Becker, but there is a spot for the original amp underneath the dash, and there is a separate bracket it fits. These are some of the places I looked

Single speaker only, behind that wood grille directly above the radio.  The Europa TG is a mono radio.
It looks like your radio has had a transplant of at least the pushbuttons and knobs, and maybe the whole unit, from a later Becker. A good Becker radio repair place would know how to set it back to original, if you want to do that.
