Intermeccanica Porsche 356

I am interested in Intermeccanica make a replica Porsche 356.   Has any member ever owned one and what was your opinion.  It seems these guys are the preminent replica builders.

Intermeccanica is located here in Vancouver BC Canada. I have met Frank Reisner when he still was alive. His product is indeed impecable. His cars are no longer build on an old VW floor pan but on their own tubular frame.
My only reservation is the cost, sometimes I feel you could by an original for just about the same, but would you use it the same way ?!

One is owned by  Forum member Art Daprano in CA.  His is one built on the original VW. I have had a drive of it and its great and at one point I know that Art was planning to sell it and I believe he still has the car.
