 Another beautiful day here in the foothills of the Sierras and definitely "top down" weather with temps in the mid 80s (30c). Took a nice drive up to about the 3500 ft level (1067m) before heading back home covering about 65m (100km). My son has informed me that when he comes down for a visit at Christmas from his home up in Seattle that he wants to go for a "top down" drive then. We will have to see about that:-)

Beautiful warm day in Toronto> I took Prinz Eugen out for a spin and saw George's green 230Sl and and a white "baby benz" plated pagoda.

The Bismarck custom plate was taken so I chose Prinz Eugen as it was the only German capital ship to survive the war. Even the Americans dropping an A bomb on it at Bimimi at the end of the war didn't sink it . I took torpedos to sink it. The screws are a Marine memorial in Germany.

 It was another warm sunny day here today so we thought we would take out the car for just a short (20 mile) spin. Turned out we were gone over three hours (with a few stops along the way) and another 100 miles were added to the odometer. Nothing but two lane roads with lots of twists and turns. What fun it is!!! Awful hard to put it back in garage on days like this.

I wish my 230 wasn't in a dozen pieces at Dan's shop. Lovely sunshine and comfortable cool temperatures in Southern Ontario on Sunday, despite the nasty snowstorms on the east coast. There was a blue 60s era MGB with the top down pulling out of a neighbouring subdivision. The driver was a 50ish guy and Senior Management was in the passenger seat, bundled up in a hoodie. It warmed my heart to see them enjoying the day.

Yesterday, November 6th was gorgeous here in the Motor City.  Late in the afternoon, knowing this might be the last opportunity, I took a drive out the rolling road called "Seven Mile" from near my home approximately 16 miles west to Whitmore Lake.  A little loop, and back along 8 Mile Road, for a grand tour of about 35 miles just before the sun set.  Top was down, lots of convertibles were out as were motorcycles--all getting in one of the last nice warm sunny days.

This coming weekend the weather will be quite cool, overcast--but the pavement dry--and my Pagoda will go to sleep for a long winter's rest up north.
