Hello all,
Just got my data card from the MBZ Center and found out that my interior color is code 209, Creme 1060 leather.
The car is all original with only 76K miles. Has been in my family for over 44 years.
Unfortunately, my parents, did not seem to appreciate the car as much as I do. There are several door dings, well in excess of forty or more on both sides of the car.
The interior leather seats are all cracked and rotted. However, the rest of the interior is in above average shape. The car was in a garage all of its life, so even with neglect, several interior items have survived.
I have been working on the mechanical items for the last two months. Slowly getting ready to start the car up once again after sitting for a few years.
I would like to keep the car the same as it was delivered new. The exterior and hardtop is code 190 slate gray. The soft top is black.
My problem is the leather colors that I find from the vendors are limited. No on seems to have available the Creme 1060.
Can anyone tell me where I might find a Creme 1060 leather kit or hide? Or, do I need to think about redoing the interior in another color?
Any thoughts on the best way to go about rebuilding the seats?
Thanks for any and all help,
Tom L
