Yes, most of you already know this but now it's easy to find via the main forum search!  

[How to] use a remote starter switch

Attach one lead to the + pole on the battery and the other to the “G” terminal of the thermo time switch to engage the starter.  

Remember to turn the key on if you want to start the car when engaging the remote switch. .  Also don't forget to be In Neutral or Park

Spark plugs can be in or out.  Obviously "in" if you want to actually start the engine .  "in" or "out" if you just want to rotate the engine (key off).  "Out" relieves any cyclinder compression which makes the engine turn easier.

Be advised that the fuel pump is activating when you are using the remote starter switch in this configuration.  You can pull fuse #4 to disable the fuel pump if not needed.

On my 1970 Automatic I went to the plug for the Neutral Safety switch. My car has been apart too long to tell you which terminal.

I think it is terminal 2 on the neutral safety switch socket. Just pull the plug and connect your switch using a 'banana' plug
from terminal 2 to your battery positive.

It is one of the one of the corner sockets on the end,  opposite the wiring harness. It should be a purple wire.

You might want to add as another option when using the remote is to remove the #4 fuse so the fuel pump doesn't run if not needed.

I have a remote but haven't used it yet. That makes it very clear. Thanks!

If you use the neutral safety switch method I don't think you have to turn the ignition on
so the fuel pump will not run therefore no need to remove fuse.

This is what I meant, if you make use of the neutral safety switch it is a simpler way.
See photos. This connection goes directly to the starter solenoid. ( May go through
immobiliser if fitted)
Make sure PARK or NEUTRAL is selected as you have just bypassed the safety switch!!

Yes, simpler if your car is an automatic transmission car. Otherwise you have no switch. Thanks, pictures are most helpful and save a lot of words.
