230 SL turn indicator
« on: April 15, 2012, 03:32:45 »

Hi--

Is the 230 SL turn indicator unique to the 230 SL, or is it interchangeable with that from other models?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I think an early 250 may be the same.

Hey Joe  :D
(wasn't there once a very famous pop title named after you - from a Gentleman died at age 27??),

Please forgive me for the joke. :D
Yes, Dave is right.
The early indicator switch 001 545 5524 is unique to the 230SL and early 250SL (until serial #002979) and the late indicator switch 002 545 29 24 unique to the late 250 SL (from serial #002980) and 280SL. :o
No interchange with other MB passenger cars of that period.

Both are still available new but a bit pricey.
