Pagoda World Issue 13
« on: April 27, 2012, 21:49:12 »
After many starts and stops, Pagoda World Issue 13 finally hit the printing presses this week, and many of you should receive your copy by late next week.

Packed with some great articles, PW13 sports a higher page-count (the highest so far). We have also transitioned to a new Indigo digital printing press, which really brings out the richness in the colors. I can unabashedly say that this is our best issue so far.

Thank you all for the kind comments.

Some further notes:
  • There were additional delays whilst sorting through some mailing difficulties. Apologies for that.
  • This issue sports many improvements, too numerous to mention, some more subtle than others. The evolution from Issue 11 to 13 is quite noticeable though.
  • I'm especially happy to have been able to finally include all those vintage photos for the "buyer's guide"-- can't use this stuff on just any article you know!  8)
  • I've also radically increased the number of vintage advertisements. Do let me know what you think.

Glad you're all enjoying the magazine-- now please start writing those articles and snapping new photos for the next issue!  ;)

Best regards,
-Waqas

Hello Waqas,

Thanks for the latest Pagoda World.
I say it is a terrific publication, not only because you have used so many beautiful pictures in which my car is shown, but because of the other pictures, articles and layout.

The pictures of Queensland cars were taken by professional photographer Murray Waite who also is the editor of our local MB Club magazine--Super Star.
His photographs show the quality of his work which is reflected in the club magazine.

My car is the white 250SL second from the bottom (cover pic) registration plates 113MBR.

Each car has a story behind it.
some are shown below
One has had nut and bolt restoration, then sold with a 6 figure asking price.
One (mine) has been repainted by previous owner but kept the original interior patina.
One was in a front ender, written off by the insurance company which then gave the wreck to the owner who then had the car rebuilt to perfection.
One was bought from Tasmania and driven back to Queensland with no apparent problems.

Thanks for the effort you put into the magazine production and the quality of publication.

regards
Bob Smith (Brisbane,Australia)

Waqas, they just keep getting better and better.  Thank you sincerely for all your work and devotion.  And thanks to the contributors.  The articles are inspiring.  I wish I had copies of all the Pagoda Worlds from the beginning.  If anyone has available extras of those before Issue 10, I would appreciate a contact.

Keep up the excellent work and maybe someday, I`ll scrape up the courage and knowledge to contribute, even though the articles of past contributors is intimidating.

Thanks again.
