Wiring placement in cabin area
« on: May 08, 2012, 15:12:18 »
I can't find this in the technical manual or forum search.  Getting ready to put the carpet in the cabin area, have the large part of the wiring harness that runs trough the cabin along the drivers side (LH drive).  I'm looking for the correct place this runs, it looks to me like it would be located below the chrome door sill molding.

Thanks,

Rolland

Thanks so much, it certainly helps.  Didn't go where I thought, but we all have been surprised before.

Beware, Rolland.  The main harness is the one just inboard of the driver side door sill weld seam and is, as you stated, under the inboard chrome door sill molding between the carpet and the rubber sill strip.  The one in my photo that snakes across the car under the carpet is the rear radio antenna cable and was not installed by the factory.

Thanks Tom for steering me straight.  It's tucked away in the correct place.  The antenna wire threw me at first, mine is in the RF fender so doesn't run like yours.  Carpet install is finishedband looking good.
