Years ago, when I changed the old cracked vinyl interior for a new leather interior, I used some extra leather from the hide to make new sun visors because the foam inside mine had turned to dust, the vinyl was cracked and torn and the mirror was tarnished. At that time, I also made a leather pocket for a new mirror of the same size as the original and sewed it into the visor. The final seam of the visor was at the top edge and was closed (very carefully) with superglue by folding the two edges inside and applying a very small amount of superglue a drop at a time in the joint and pinching it together until it dried. Superglue works as well on leather as it works on fingers. I now have leather sunvisors with new foam and a new mirror that match the dark blue leather interior. So much for originality.
