Aluminium Door Sills
« on: September 05, 2012, 08:42:08 »
My door sills are pretty beaten up, especially the inner ones.

What are people doing for replacements these days? The Classic Center? Are there SS repos that are any good?

I replaced my black rubber door sills with the stainless steel replacements.  It has a cleaner look and is easier to clean.  I think it is a matter of taste.  Just my $0.02.

Sorry - I mean the rails that go between the sill and the carpet.

Try www.retroteile.pl

Got mine from there, good service. They are aluminium as the original.
I have a sneaky feeling Mercedes get them there.

Things are never as they apprear. Although they make some of these things, as a rule, most parts are not in stock and you wait forever.
A good portion of the heavy sheet metal they handle is actualy K&K so if you need these things on this side of the pond order them directly.
I'm going to assume that they're not selling directly to MB but rather to SLS to maintain an arms reach.
