Hi, do I need to remove the steering wheel and horn wires before removing the column switch with turn indicator etc? An eralier post suggests you do for the 230SL but I am not sure about the 280SL

The wiring is going through the steering wheel tunnel don't need to take the steering wheel off, remove side rubber, take the two screws off and undo the wiring connection from the middle of the steering column.
