Suspicious Bolt (Now Solved) . Thanks

Help ..

I found the pictured Bolt on the garage floor after moving the Pagoda  yesterday.

It seemed to be under the Front Right side.

Any one have any idea please What it is or Where it could have  fallen out of ?

It is one of the bolts that attaches the cross braces to the side frame of your soft top.

Paul,
there two places for bolts of this kind, in the frame of the soft top and the reclining brackets for the backrests and seats. Since the latter are covered by a chromed trim piece and therefore could not just fall off I would look at the soft top first.
But of course it could be that it fell off from Santa's sled when he delivered your Pagoda presents.

There is a third place where this bolt may have come from.  The wooden shelving has a similar screw/nut that attaches it through a metal fitting to the floor behind the seat on both left and right hand sides

Yes Garry, it is similar, but it should not have a screwdriver slot.
The one on the left is an original from my 230SL - note the concave stem -and the one on the right is what you can get now.

arrr ahhh  the wrong slotted widget to catch you out.

I miss my car and as it has been away now over 8 months getting work done and it is not there to just run out and check

Thanks for all the advice - Excellent result - don't you just love such a result,
and this short post has communicated across our world community - Europe, Canada, USA & Australia.

The Upholsterer had called and removed the seats , to overhaul them a couple of days ago, and I
know the chrome plate is loose on the Right hand seat, so I am pretty sure that is where the bolt
has escaped from.

I found the bolt on the garage floor after I had pushed the car back a bit to work around
the battery.
