Woke up to 19F (-7c) temps and not a cloud in the sky. By around 10:00am it had warmed up to a comfortable 34F (1c). It Has been a while since we fired up the SL and since the roads in our neighborhood were nice and dry, thought we would give it go. The engine started up just fine on the 2nd crank and my navigator (who was bundled up) and myself headed out for a short drive. After a couple of miles the cabin warmed up nicely (great heater in these cars) even with just the soft top.The speedometer wasn't too happy at first with a few chirps at around 40 mph, but it soon settled down. Only out for an hour or so but great fun as always. The car is now back in the garage all covered up ready for another cold night here in the foothills.
