Th impeccable Rosie Huntington posing with a white pagoda in the most recent swimsuit issue of Victoria Secret. Not sure which is prettier.

Ryan,
Maybe Rosie... ;D
But only until you show us the pic of Rosie with the Pagoda.
Then we decide again.

Hi Fellas,

Got a call from my brother, he works for VS, telling me about our car being in their new swimsuit catalogue.  Not the best shots of the car but thats not the point of these photos, right ;D

Even though it is just a little piece of a Pagoda, it's worth a look :D

BTW, when looking more carefully at…. the trunk/boot lid around the place the Rosie touches the car with her right hand, my impression is that the lid is not aligned with the rest of the body (I mean car body, of course ;D).
Bad renovation or distortion in the picture? Or am I so disturbed that the distortion is in my eyes? What's your opinion?

Looks like she is trying to keep the trunk lid closed! Its either not latched completely or out of aligment.

Anybody notice that CTM's brother works for VS? I always wondered if guys actually worked there for pay or free?

Working for VS? Probably not as wonderful as it may sound...it is merely a brand of The Limited, based in Joe Alexander's backyard.  Really.  If you think Rosie or any of the scantily clad models ever come to Columbus, I think you'd be wrong...the photo shoots are something else entirely.

All that sexy lingerie doesn't look nearly as nice when sealed in a poly bag on a shelf in a distribution center... >:(

The car and setting look very familiar to some other photos that were shown on the forum a while ago, an advertisement for clothing from a company by the name of "Juicy Couture" (or something like that).

Just another model posing by an SL surrounded by palm trees. Teasing many of us here in colder climates!

It usually doesn't look that good on anyone - except a VS model.  Wouldn't kook all that great on you either, Mike.........  ;D

Just got back from the Dominican. Lots of women every bit as good looking. The locals are very slim, no tatoos, rather exotic looking in some ways. Rather refreshing in most ways. I burn easily so I stayed inside looking at cars. 113's, 190SL's and a 300 Cab just to name a few. More on this later......

you grossly underestimate the capabilities that offer Photoshop and alike ;)

I bet that with some Photoshop mastering, Mike, you and I could pose near our Pagodas in VS, looking like top models (OK, OK, maybe not me… ;D)

Yes, actually the owner of VS, Express,  Limited etc. owns a Red 1969 280SL Pagoda. A W113 was his first Mercedes. His car collection is extensive these days.

How do you guys get your car featured like this?  Do you call advertisement agencies and provide them with a picture portfolio and when they want your car for a shoot they call you and you negociate a fee?  Or is there so many men who want their car in magazines they do it for free?

Essentially its the luck of the draw...there are a few production companies that actually post on these forums from time to time. Typically they have a location already picked out (usually a visually attractive scene) then its up to them to hire the "props". Often, they leave the searching for a car to a dealer that also has an inventory of classics so the search never makes it to the general public.  In the instance of the photo shoot using my car, I was living in S Florida at the time and the shoot was south of Miami. The target car was a 60's era white/off white MB convertible so mine fit the bill. I was paid a half-day scale for a "prop car"... but the memories and pics were worth much more!

I've been at four "shoots"  None of which made it to media.  I had a tease for a episode of the "hilfigers" an ad campaign that was to be a 2 day shoot.  They had 10 cars at a local college campus- huge tent for catering and 4 matching brand new bus/rvs for the models to dress and change.  I cannot imagine how much this cost.  The shoot was cancelled day one too much rain I got the full fare.  They reshot in california with an exact duplicate of my car!

Another shot car was flatbedded to teh bRooklyn bridge where cole hann did ad campaign with a model by teh car with the bridge behind.  Never saw it in any ad.

They took my car out to the andy warhol estate in montauk as welll as 2 others fr a shoot and decided to use the MG instead/.

Another episode of teh hilfiggers on an estate in Old Westbury new york.  Werent sure  if theyd use it but it rained again so they tarped the cars.  That cost me a wet sand.....the broker would have had it done but I didnt trust them

These are the people that had contacted me... Hint: It pays to live in an area where a good deal of production work is done.
