DUBAI Pagoda Club
« on: February 27, 2013, 06:57:02 »
I am starting a Pagoda Club for UAE, with Dubai chapter up and running April 2013. We will have lots of PAGODA only events, swap meets, trips to enjoy our beloved Pagoda's as well as family gathering and social events. Will have special rates from Max Garage and will carry stock of nessecasry parts and accessories and white wall tires.

Call 971502422466 or email me if interested to join.

Salut
Khaled

Khaled:

Unless you are going to use a different language,  why move away for all the information, images, knowledge here and start a separate unit?

Doesn't it make more sense to have the UAE locals become part of this worldwide family of Pagoda owners?
A UAE event can always be included in the Events Section of this website. A Search of the Member List will show who is from the UAE so local contact will be possible.

And as the content of this website is Copyrighted, a new group would have to create its own original content including manuals, knowledge base, etc. That seems like a lot of work to do when it's all available here for individual use to those who sign up.

Best of Luck whatever you decide.

Further to Richard's comment, you are perfectly welcome to start the Dubai chapter of the Pagoda SL Group. In fact, that is how most of our events came about: local initiatives in certain areas.

You are free to use the forum, and we'll help you with mailings, announcements, you can use our logo, etc.

In fact, Stan in Poland is now trying to get a local get together organised there also, and may create a local Polish chapter.

Dubai+Pagodas=I'm waiting to see the world's first chrome plated and Swarovski-encrusted pagoda. It can't be far off.

Thank you all for your guidance and kind words.

the Dubai chapter is definitely an integeral part of this organization, without your support we can't exist. Thanks for the encouraging words. Last week was Dubai Classic Car festival, saw at least 9 Pagoda's and 2 W107, 1 Gullwings and couple 190SL. Check it out

http://www.emiratesclassiccarfestival.com/

I officially applied to UAE Automobile and Touring club to register the chapter officially as a non profit organization aiming at enjoying our beloved Pagodas, pamper them, preserve them and simply make them last longer and look better everyday.

I will keep you guys posted on progress and please drop me a line if anyone is visiting Dubai, would be me and my wife's pleasure to host you for a drink and share some of our young experience in the desert of Arabia.

Thanks again. Truly appreciated. khaled

khaled,

Beautiful cars and impressive car show. I suspect, not much chance of rain showers ruining the show ;D
