Regards The 230 badged 280sl

Hi all, could this be the one owned by Sterling Moss? he had a 230sl
when they first came out and when he heard about the 280sl he insisted
on mercedes putting in a 280 engine. It caused no end of problems for
them, brakes,trans,rad,space etc,etc maybe someone else knows the car?

Stirling Moss had a 230SL, then bought a 250SL.  This is the car he transplanted a 280 engine into at considerable expense.  Right about the time he finished it the factory announced the 280SL.
