I have a query regarding the connections to my TMC (Tandem Master Cylinder).
All references are taken from 'BBB' (Job No. 42-3a)
Page 1 is headed 'Tandem Master Cylinder' and describes the 1st, 2nd and 3rd version TMC's. My car is an early (manual) 230SL and was originally fitted with a 1st version TMC, which has the front wheels connected to the rear pressure chambre (push rod circuit) and the rear wheels connected to the front pressure chambre (floating circuit). I am replacing this with a 3rd version TMC which is usually connected opposite to this. The 'BBB' states that a 3rd version can be used instead of a 1st version but that 'the brake circuits are connected the other way round'
So does this mean if I use a 3rd version on my car the front pressure chambre is connected to the front or rear axle?
Sorry this seems a stupid question but I've sat and puzzled over this for ages.
