What kind of ignition coil do you have with your Pertronix and how long do they usually last? I have one that came as a set "Flame Thrower" after two years about 2500 miles it failed.

A little bit off topic, but I have had a Pertonix in my VW type 181 for about ten years with a Bosche Blue coil.
No problems.
