WTB Land Rover NAS Defender 110
« on: March 31, 2013, 15:31:32 »
The two vehicles I have always dreamed about are an 280SL and a Defender.  Now that I have the 280SL sorted out, I am on the hunt for a Defender!  Please let me know if anyone is interested selling or have any leads.  I have a 1967 250SL silver on Red Leather w/4sp 75K miles Euro edition for possible trade...

Thanks!

Glad to hear you are into Defenders . I had two D90s and am now only with a 97 softop .I'm on another forum and my  Defender is used in the background  the forum . Here is the link http://www.defendersource.com/  hopes this helps in your search . Great cars 280SL and a D90 .

Very Cool!  I have already spent too much time on that site!  Please keep me in mind if you run across any 110s for sale.  I have yet to post on the board and am wary about jumping into the market; prices and quality are all over the board...not unlike SL's I guess.  I am considering importing one and reaching out to Dividing Creek Imports, which seems to be highly recommended.  Any thoughts on that or for that matter, a NAS vs. ROW vehicle?

Thanks!
Tom

I wonder if you should look at the price of defenders in the UK with a view to importing? Importing a car isnt that expensive, having done it.

It's a shame you didnt ask this question 9 months ago as I sold a 2 year old defender xs with 3000 miles on it. It was perfect in every way. If helpful, it was sold to a specialist dealer for £19k.

I can thoroughly recommend the dealer if you are interested. Known him for years and trust him fully, which i suppose would be key if buying unseen.

You should note that LR will release tbe new defender in a year or so (and it won't be the dc 100!!) so this will effect the prices of the current car; i think that they will go up because i fear the way that LR are going with their current line up will be unattractive to hardcore defender owners.
