Looks like no one has added anything in a long while to the various threads about the side mirrors over the years. (Mainly thread #s 202, 3344 and 5226.) I bought a passenger side mirror assembly last year and swapped the glass from it into my deteriorated driver side mirror. I'm now interested in the little cork pads and spring that are inside the mirror housing. The spring was mentioned in one of the posts a few years ago, but maybe the situation is different now. Does anyone know if a good-as-new spring and/or cork pad are available today?
