A few months ago I got myself a second pagoda. It is a 4-speed switch in silver, interior dark green. The car comes from Colorado Springs. The previous owner bought it in 1974 with 70t miles, drove him daily until 1984 to 122t miles. Then the car had a hail damage, so he changed the trunk lid and painted the car new. But he don’t drive the car. I bought the car in March with 129T miles. Until 1999, the car has only been in a barn. When I got him he ran poorly and was not cleaned.
With a friend we went to work.
The tank was not to save, and we have installed a used. All oil, brake and fuel lines were changed. My friend Werner overhauled the calipers and changed all the fluids. The clutch was firm and donors and takers were renewed. The engine do not run. We did check the injectors and had to renew it. But at cylinder # 1 was no gasoline. On the injection pump plunger firmly hung up. We could not remove him from the outside and had to remove the pump. My friend Ernst, an injection specialist, had to take the pump apart and remove the piston. After adjusting the pump, we got it back and Werner could install it. Now the engine was running. The car is now in very good technical condition. The engine needs no oil and has a lot of power. I cleaned the carpet and all the interiors, take the doors apart and glued the shoes against the window panes. And many things more.............
Now I have a few questions.
The car has no bumper guards . He send also an old picture where I can not see the guards. Pagodas are been delivered without bumpers guards to America?
The carpet is in a very good condition. Is he still original, he still has the snaps?
The trunk lid has been renewed after the hail. He is different from my other pagoda. The new missing two openings, one in the center cross and bottom right,
Can anyone say something about it?
A long letter, but there is always much to tell about our pagodas.
