Flasher for 280SL
« on: July 12, 2013, 00:49:15 »
Hi guys.
I have a question for you all who need to replace the emergency Flasher in our Pagodas.

I was told that the new design does not have pins to plug  in. When talking to the Classic
Center in Irvine,  I was told by Woody, that there is a jumper wire to plug the new one in from the old
design? Is  this information correct?

Bob,
it is not a jumper wire but moving a wire from one pin to another pin.
All described here in the technical manual:

Alfred
1964 230SL manual 4-speed 568H signal red
1966 230SL automatic 334G light blue (sold)
1968 280SL automatic (now 904G midnight blue)

I do better with pictures . What I got has a electrical tail . the replacement flasher is not the same.
I asked Woody at the classic center before I  purchase this new replacement to make sure
there is no modification needed. I will send you a picture of what I got with the part number.
Sincerely
Bob Geco
