I've made this trip many times...lots of fun. The more the merrier! It will cost $3-4000. Keith 520-404-2875

I used to visit Munich a lot, great city, but I always avoided the beerfest as I couldn't trust myself!
Time for an amusing anecdote?

I was pretty overdosed on the local beer one night in Munich back in the early 90s and got in a cab to go back to my digs.
The cab was the ubiquitous 124 diesel and as we were driving along I noticed that the bulb failure light was on.
In my very poor German I said, "Du hast ein problem mit globe".
"Nein" says the driver, "es ist der computer".
"Nein" says I, "Es ist der globe".
"Nein" says the driver, "Es ist computer"
"Nein", says I, du hast ein 5w globe, und du must habe ein 10w globe"
"Nein", says the driver, es ist computer"
I stay silent now until we reach my destination, whereupon I jump out, open his boot, pull out the bulb holder, remove the bulb and triumphantly hold up his 5w bulb!
"Blick auf diese!" (look at this) I say. "Es ist 5w globe und du must habe ein 10w globe. Es ist nicht computer problem, es ist globe problem!"
"Mein Got, phielen danke" says the driver, and hands me 5 Marks for the journey!
We both had a happy night!

Stick
great story…. barter is always the best trade ;D

KB, I recommend to stay clear of the Octoberfest activeties "Auf Der Wiese" (the great grass area where they erect all the tents etc). You will have more fun at the Hofbräuhaus am Platzl

Just check out all the fun pictures ... oh and when you want to get into a cab the ride to the hotel will not be that long :)

Check it out ... here, that is where I have the most fun and meet peple from all over the world ---> https://www.google.ca/search?q=Hofbr%C3%A4uhaus+am+Platzl&client=safari&rls=en&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=Q-frUaqWPIq7rgHtlYGQAQ&ved=0CFkQsAQ&biw=2538&bih=1256
