Exterior Paint - Rocker Panel

I noticed at a Mercedes car show that all the other Pagoda's but mine have black paint on the panel under the doors.  Mine is the paint color.  While incorrect, is it worth repainting the panel? It will never be a 100 point show car, but it is obviously wrong when parked next to other Pagodas...

Just doing this to do it, of course, isn't practical.  However, if at some point you want to increase the level of correctness, it might be worth it--perhaps combining it with some other body work. If you ever decide to sell, it will be a point with some savvy buyers.  Over time, you might encounter some road rash, a little rust, a door ding or two, some other body issues and at that point have it all done.  Bringing it right now just to do this will only make you feel better--so if that's on the top of your list...

i have just gone through the paint section in technical and can see the numbers for the grey paint for the boot/trunk but couldnt see what the paint was for the rocker or sill section below the doors.
is it anything specific as regards a colour. anyone got a colour number or a merc number for it as it is the stone chip stuff.

Painting that section with a rattle can is easily done in about 1/2 hour.

a half hour job - not many jobs that are a half hour that make the car look right.  Not sure it will look right or last though....

True half hour clearly an under-estimation. But realistically, a few hours time, prepping, masking and rattle can painting can yield amazing results in skilled hands.

Here's a message about the correct color for the Rocker Panel. The two colors that seem to be most common are Matte Black (DB169) and Grey.

Did this last week, looks great! Took less than a half hour I think.
