Peter,

More than happy to assist in upgrading this site.   First we need to figure out if anything needs to be fixed.  As stated it seems that quite a few people love it the way it is.   This is a huge compliment to your work and efforts.

I am sorry if I did not fully understand your motivation for posting the screen shots.

Andy

Not really, I said that most car clubs tend to decline because of an aging user base. One of the ways to prevent that is to provide a mechanism for new people to find your club. There is no move as such. I look at it as a new way of advertising our club.

And I'm not suggesting we change that.... I'm just saying we use another way of advertising ourselves to ensure we get new members. I've seen many businesses go bankrupt pretty quickly because they did not adapt quickly to a changing world.

I posted that example from Facebook EXACTLY to indicate that we have no control over Facebook. With a Google+ group which we are in charge of, we can moderate that. By the way, we also have some posts here on this forum which would be similar to that post. We are still human...

If you think it is so easy, does that mean you are volunteering for the job? Because then I can finally step down as administrator/developer/maintainer of this forum, and concentrate on duties as president, and look for a successor for just that part. I'll gladly give you the role to fix this.

I have Safari of that version, and the error message is what I get.  Don't know what else to say.  Not a huge fan of Chrome.

I did see it on Chrome however, the Google+ page and it looks like Facebook sort of thing.  Nothing wrong with that.

It is always good to have new blood. This group has a lot of knowledge and experience. It is its main strength. But I sometimes feel the base of really active members is too small, and lacks diversity. The risk is to have a few who end up imposing their views and opinions (consciously or not), with a group of followers, and others that do not feel comfortable in expressing their views if they feel there are not in line. In the end they may end up feeling they don't belong and become less active.

the M100 group recently migrated from m-100.cc to m-100.co without loosing the contents of the old site. One of the persons involved in the migration was alabbasi who is also a Pagoda owner and member here, if that can help.
